Enjoyed a great time and met some great people at the West Hartford Library reading last week. Hats off to the Friends of the Library, the friendly staff, and the capacity crowd. I had a ball!

The secret is out: movie news!

I’m thrilled to be working on this project with Synthetic Cinema’s Andrew Gernhard, Colin Theys, and John Doolan and super-excited that filming will take place this summer in my hometown of Norwich, CT, which is the template for Three Rivers, the fictional town where I’ve set several of my novels. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.

One of my favorite audiences during my recent book tour was the one at the Carroll Arts Center in Westminster, MD. These folks really know how to put on event! (Look at all those copies of We Are Water.) Thanks to Sandy Oxx, Dorothy Stoltz, Lynn Wheeler, Joyce Muller, Carroll County Public Library, and McDaniel College for a memorable evening.

Thanks to Writer’s Digest magazine and interviewer Suzy Spencer for a great cover story in the current (Feb/March) issue. Thanks, too, to photographer Elena Seibert, who took this pic of me and my late, great dog, Echo–the closest I ever came to having a daughter. I miss her still.

Back from a great time at the Savannah Book Festival. It’s easy to see why visitors fall in love with this partly-quaint/partly-hip city and its congenial residents. And how’s THIS for Southern hospitality? As a Book Fest speaker, I had an ice cream flavor named in my honor for the day!

WE ARE WATER Book Tour Blog

Hello, everyone. Welcome to my We Are Water Book Tour blog– a kind of rolling journal that keeps you updated on where I am and where I’ve been while traveling the country to promote my fifth novel. I’ll include anecdotes and photos–maybe even a video or two–as I take you inside the book tour experience, stop by stop.
